Wuling Liudong Base's Flexible Automation Welding Center Has Been Completed And Put into Use!

On August 27th, the groundbreaking and completion ceremony of the brand-new flexible automated welding center at the Liudong base of the Components Division of Wuling Industrial Company, along with the launch ceremony of the F520M product, was held in a festive atmosphere. From the challenging development phase to the production launch, from the blueprint to the reality, this intelligent welding center, which embodies the efforts of the entire team, has officially been put into use, and the F520M product has successfully rolled off the production line.

One of the most significant highlights of the transformation of the flexible automated welding center is the implementation of the lean production and resource optimization utilization concepts. A large number of existing equipment were utilized for low-cost and high-efficiency renovations. The internal integration and coordination mechanism of the group was leveraged, and multiple departments worked collaboratively to accelerate the rapid implementation of the project.

Since the project was launched, after 180 consecutive days of hard work, the Flexible Automation Welding Center began to be put into use on August 10th this year. Facing the complex production characteristics of the base, which involve diverse product types and coexistence of new and old states, the project team successfully completed the transformation of 110 robots. Not only did this result in a significant increase in the welding production cycle to 45-50 JPH, but the automation rate of weld points also rose from the original 40% to 90%. The production efficiency was enhanced and the production rhythm better met the market requirements.

The novated welding center demonstrates high flexibility and can be compatible with the vast majority of product types at the base. It has solved the long-standing problem of "complex status of new and old products and difficulty in line flexibility". By optimizing the design of fixtures and management processes, the production preparation time has been significantly shortened, providing more flexible space for scheduling and significantly enhancing the production response capability.

This vivid practice of the Components Division's transformation towards automation, intelligence and specialization has further enhanced the core competitiveness of the Components Division through a series of measures such as improving equipment efficiency, promoting technological innovation, ensuring product quality and enhancing overall benefits.
