Delivery Completed Successfully! The First Set of The World's Largest 12G95ME-C10.5 Type Crankshaft Forgings

Recently, Tongyu Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. successfully delivered the first set of 12G95ME-C10.5 type marine low-speed diesel engine semi-combined crankshafts to Dalian Huairui Marine Crankshaft Co., Ltd. This is another significant breakthrough for Tongyu Heavy Industry in the manufacturing of super-large marine crankshafts. The 12G95ME-C10.5 type crankshaft, as the largest-sized marine crankshaft in the world, was developed by Everllence Patent Company (formerly MAN Patent Company) and is specifically designed for large propulsion engines. It is mainly used for 24000 TEU super-large container ships and meets the efficient and low-carbon operation requirements of modern ships.

This type of crankshaft forging billet weighs 1,020 tons. Even after rough processing, the delivered weight still reaches over 560 tons. The structure is complex and the precision requirements are high. Due to its large size and strict performance standards, the production cycle is long, the processes are complex, and the difficulty is high. During the manufacturing process, Tongyu Heavy Industry faced challenges such as steel ingot pouring, and comprehensively upgraded the processing tools. It also implemented innovative improvements in forging and other aspects. Through technical research and development, Tongyu Heavy Industry successfully broke through multiple manufacturing bottlenecks such as the consistency of large crankshaft forging shapes.

In terms of quality control, Tongyu Heavy Industry adheres to a rigorous approach and fully implements a complete process quality tracking system, ensuring that every step from the entry of raw materials into the factory to the production of finished products strictly complies with high standards. Eventually, this crankshaft forging piece successfully passed the performance testing and non-destructive testing by DNV Classification Society, providing a solid guarantee for the perfect delivery of the first batch of products.
