The reporter learned yesterday (17) from the China Machinery Industry Federation that in the first half of this year, especially since the second quarter, China's machinery industry is running well and production is speeding up.

The latest data show that in the first half of this year, the added value of the machinery industry increased by 6.1% year-on-year, 0.1 percentage points higher than the national industrial growth rate, and the added value of the five major national economic industries mainly involved maintained year-on-year growth.

Since the second quarter, the machinery industry has vigorously promoted digital transformation and intelligent transformation, promoted the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, and cultivated and developed new quality productivity. At the same time, large-scale equipment renewal and the implementation of the action plan for replacing old consumer goods with new ones have effectively driven the improvement of the demand market for the machinery industry and accelerated the production of the machinery industry. Among 122 kinds of major machinery products, the proportion of cumulative output growth in the first half of the year was 61.5%, significantly higher than the level of the same period last year.

From the perspective of sub-industries, as of the end of June, the cumulative production and sales of domestic new energy vehicles have exceeded 30 million. Electrical equipment production continued high. Construction machinery production stabilized at a low level. The recovery of the consumer and tourism market has led to the growth of products such as cameras and special packaging equipment.
