On January 12th, the completion ceremony of China First Heavy Industries' first domestically-made, independently-optimized standard million-level conventional island integral low-pressure rotor for Harbin Steam Turbine Factory Co., Ltd. was grandly held in Qiqihar. Party Committee member and Vice General Manager Zhang Hao, Party Secretary and Chairman of Harbin Steam Turbine Factory Co., Ltd. Qiu Xiliang, jointly attended and witnessed the event. Vice President and Chief Engineer of the Shareholding Company Zhao Deli presided over the ceremony.
The completion of this domestically produced first batch of standard-level million-tonne grade integral low-pressure rotor forgings for the conventional island is another significant breakthrough achieved by China on the path of independent and domestic production of high-end large forgings. The successful manufacturing of this product has brought together the wisdom and efforts of the owner, the designer, and the manufacturer. It demonstrates the firm determination and strong capability of all parties to jointly serve the national strategy and create national heavy equipment. It fully verifies China's independent manufacturing strength in high-end nuclear power forgings.
As the "heart" component of a conventional island unit in nuclear power plants, the manufacturing process of the integral forged low-pressure rotor in the conventional island is complex and requires strict manufacturing capabilities. China First Heavy Industry has gone through multiple rounds of technological research and development, overcoming a series of world-class challenges such as the smelting of super-large steel ingots, grain refinement, and precision control. This has laid a solid foundation for the domestic production of core equipment for nuclear power plants' conventional islands in China. As a benchmark of domestication achievements, its mature technical standards and valuable manufacturing experience will be fully applied to the entire industry and all fields, injecting strong impetus into the iterative upgrading of China's third-generation nuclear power equipment and helping the nuclear power industry achieve high-quality development.
